This avant-garde line of garments were first shown at Omaha Fashion Week, August, 2015. The works were created from 90% salvaged materials. The primary material was a plastic mesh donated by Greystone Manufacturing, a company specializing in recycling. Additional materials were salvaged ribbon from industry, cable ties for construction and aerosol paints.
Selections from this body of work have been shown in gallery settings as well. The last photos in this grouping are from Call and Response, a two person exhibition featured mixed media sculpture and fashion by Judy Bales and painted silk banners and fashion by Rene Shoemaker. It was installed at Lyndon House Arts Center, Athens, Georgia, 2018.
