LUX Center for the Arts WEST GALLERY

2021

Exhibition Description: Ravel is word that can be both verb and noun. As a noun, ravel means a tangle, cluster or knot, which can include a quality of beauty, such as “a lovely ravel of flowers”.  In verb form it is one of a small group of English words that mean the same as their opposite–ravel and unravel both can mean to untangle something.  All of these meanings describe this exhibition of wrapped, twisted and assembled objects created during 2020, which is also a year to which the term ravel can be applied on multiple levels.

A selection of works and details from the exhibition is shown.
