Solo exhibition at ICON Gallery, 2025
Fiber sculpture and fashion art by Judy Bales, selected from works created from 2015-2025.
This exhibition combined fiber sculpture and fashion art, both of which the artist is passionate about. By alternating and interweaving the images throughout the gallery space, the viewers were able to see the relationship and interplay of the two art forms. Additionally, a video of four previous fashion events played continually during the exhibition on a tv screen. Overwhelmingly, visitors found this to add an important layer of understanding of the work, as many of the fashion works displayed in the exhibition were shown on models in the videos.
